There was no one else in the vehicle.
Steven saw no harm in allowing a police officer to help since they are there to protect and serve. Or, so he thought. The police officer came out of the vehicle, looked at his bike, turned it over and tried to repair it. He then said that it needed to go to a bicycle shop. He offered to drive Steven home. Steven accepted the lift and never saw his home again.
Bill Grady threatened the boy to kill his parents and brother if he ever tried to escape from him. He boasted about his police connections and Steven was fearful of him and did whatever he asked. Bill could not legally adopt him and changed the boy’s name to Jason Stephens.

She Cried for Me: Autobiography of a Dog

Hello friends,
I just returned from a wonderful vacation in Florida and found these lovely reviews for 'She Cried For Me: An Autobiography of a dog.

5 stars
Sweet Tale
ByReviewed.By.Me

Format: Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
From a dog's POV comes a touching tale of overcoming trauma and finding peace with a family she loved. For dog lovers and for everyone else who can appreciate a thoughtful short story.

5.0 out of 5 stars I am a dog lover and enjoyed this story very much.

I am a dog lover and enjoyed this story very much. We often forget that our pets have feelings too and they depend on us so much. A pleasant read that made me smile often!

5.0 out of 5 starsSweet, funny, touching and hard-hitting. A fitting tribute to a special dog.

By marmalizer on July 29, 2017
Format: Kindle Edition

This is a wonderfully touching and often funny memoir of a dog called Spikey, who was owned by the author of this story.
It is a quick read, but that doesn't mean there is no time for build-up or effective use of pacing.
Basically, anyone who has ever owned a pet (or been owned by the pet) will understand that for some reason, we were bound to be part of their lives. As animals generally live a shorter life than us as humans, it makes their presence all the more special. I also believe that if one does not have children of their own, or cannot have children for whatever reason, that a dog or a cat, or indeed any pet, can be elevated to a very special and unique status in their lives.
The story is clever and really gives you an insight into what this special dog thought about those around them, as well as their own worries and fears about things and situations they did not understand.
If you are an animal lover, or you appreciate that life is passing every single moment, or you believe that pets are not just pets - something to be discarded when they die, you will take something from this book. I will not say you will enjoy it - it hits home on many points that if you lost a pet recently, it may not be the time to read it. But the important thing to recognise is that this is a story with a heart as big as the dog at its centre, and if that doesn't convince you to read it today, nothing will.

These reviews made me very happy and I thank the readers who wrote them.
I will be writing a post about my vacation soon so look out for it.
Meanwhile please check out my books at Amazon.

The Wedding Feast at Cana

The largest painting in the world at the Louvre, Paris is 'The Wedding Feast at Cana.
In my book 'Travel Memoirs with Pictures' I described my trip to the Louvre, Paris.
We visited Paris in August 2014 and I was thrilled to see that of “The Wedding Feast at Cana” by Italian Painter Paolo Veronese.
I took a photo of it with my husband standing in front.
This is what is written in the records at The Louvre: ”

'In 1553, Veronese was summoned to Venice where he gave free rein to his decorative talent in vast canvases that blended masterful composition, splendid contemporary costumes, and luminous colors.
The Wedding Feast at Cana graced the refectory designed by Palladio for the Benedictine monastery on the Venetian island of San Giorgio Maggiore.
With masterly freedom of interpretation, Veronese transposed the biblical episode to the sumptuous setting of a Venetian wedding.”
For those of you who do not know the Biblical story of this event I quote from a write-up by the Louvre, Paris below:
“A biblical scene within a Venetian banquet In Cana, Galilee, Christ is invited to a wedding feast during which he performs his first miracle.
At the end of the banquet, when the wine is running low, he asks the servants to fill the stone jars with water and then offer them to the master of the house, who finds that the water has been turned to wine.
This episode, told by the Apostle John, is a precursor of the Eucharist.
The bride and groom are seated at the left end of the table, leaving the center place to the figure of Christ.
He is surrounded by the Virgin, his disciples, clerks, princes, Venetian noblemen, Orientals in turbans, several servants, and the populace. Some figures are dressed in traditional antique costumes, while others—the women in particular—wear sumptuous coiffures and adornments.
Veronese depicts, with apparent ease, no less than 130 feast-goers, mixing biblical figures with men and women of the period.
The latter are not really identifiable, although according to an 18th-century legend, the artist himself is depicted in white with a viola da gamba next to Titian and Bassano, all of whom contribute to the musical entertainment.
The bearded master of ceremonies could be Aretino, whom Veronese greatly admired. Several dogs, birds, a parakeet, and a cat frolic amidst the crowd.'

I bought a copy of a much smaller version of the painting at the Museum shop.
I framed it and it graces my living room.

Before visiting Paris I wrote several poems. One of them was on The Miracle at Cana where Jesus turned the water into wine.

Here is the poem:

THE MIRACLE AT THE WEDDING AT CANA [John Chapter 2; 1-12]
Jesus attended a wedding celebration with his mother.
The wine supply ran out at this wedding in Cana.
Jesus’ mother turned to Jesus for help.
But Jesus replied that his time had not come yet.

His mother left it up to Jesus and told the servants to assist.
Six large stone water- pots were standing there in the midst.
Jesus told the servants to fill them with water to the brim.
The servants did what he said and listened to him.

When the jars had been filled Jesus told the servants to dip.
And take some to the master of ceremonies” and they followed his tip.
The master of ceremonies tasted the wine and remarked to the host.
“You have saved the best wine for last. You are a great host.’

This poem is included in Poems which I published in my memoir 'Your Time is Now.'

Resurrection : Revenge of Zeeka Book 5

Resurrection: Revenge of Zeeka Book 5 was released on Friday 25th, 2017.

On 27th Feb. 2017, the book received a five-star review.

REVIEW

as a reader, I do like ghost stories and this paranormal element was handled well ...
ByKato's Revenge on February 27, 2017
Format: Kindle Edition

In an entertaining conclusion to the Zeeka series, Resurrection brings the story full circle. If you haven’t read any of the stories in the series, it’s worth starting with book one ‘Revenge of Zeeka’ just to see the author evolve alongside the story and her characters.

For me, the high point of the series was this book’s predecessor, Zeeka’s Ghost, but then, as a reader I do like ghost stories and this paranormal element was handled well in book four.

This final installment is quite surprising as it brings back the rather disturbing character of Nine from book one. Nine is on a mission all of his own, and when he learns of technology that may save him from the Zika virus and help him on his ultimate goal (read to find out) – he’s all for the procedure, despite the risks.

Aside from this storyline the quirkiness of the robot Eve adds some humour to the story. The characters that have been with us throughout the series get a good send off too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little collection, that will make you think (especially if you are a travel fan like me!)
By Kato's Revenge on February 21, 2016
Format: Paperback
'The Moral of this story is to never give up on your dreams.' - author Brenda Mohammed.

With a title like Stories People Love,, this book already had a lot to live up to. As I read each of the four short stories. in turn, the change from fiction to non-fiction made reading this collection all the more pleasurable.

As a bit of a travel fiend myself, the stand out story for me is Travel Dreams of Yesterday. The author writes this so well that you really feel you are journeying along with her.

Is it a spoiler to say each story is a heart warming one (a reference to one of the author's other works)?

I don't think so. Each element of the collection's opener, A Headmaster's Daughter, twists and turns and demands that you keep reading.

The Dirtiest of All Evils is intriguing as a murder mystery and seems initially out of place. But reading the stories again, it feels a good fit.

This is a neat and extremely readable collection and shows an author who is able to write fiction and non-fiction elements seamlessly. It's not an easy combination and yet the author pulls it off admirably.

Nebuchadnezzar's Dream of the Future World.

I wrote a Poem and would like to share it. It is based on Nebuchadnezzar's Dream and is applicable to the world today. The poem is included amongst others in a section of the memoir - YOUR TIME IS NOW: A TIME TO BE BORN AND A TIME TO DIE.

Nebuchadnezzar had a dream which he was unable to cipher,
A statue with a head made of fine gold, with chest and arms of silver.
Belly and thighs of bronze and legs of iron displayed,
Its feet combined of iron and clay had Nebuchadnezzar amazed.

A mighty rock smashed the statue’s feet causing it to sway
And after shattering it to bits the wind blew the bits away.
The rock covered the earth and Nebuchadnezzar awoke
He pondered on this dream and his thoughts were provoked.

Magicians, enchanters, sorcerers, and astrologers were consulted.
But all scratched their heads and Nebuchadnezzar felt insulted.
Because the meaning of this dream was beyond their imagination
And Nebuchadnezzar felt mad and ordered their execution.

But Daniel a captive from Judah offered an explanation,
That brought Nebuchadnezzar great jubilation.
Daniel said that Nebuchadnezzar was the head of gold
His kingdom was strong and he would be bold.

But after his kingdom had reached its end.
An inferior one would rule again.
And yet another would rise after the second had fallen.
A kingdom of bronze would be the third to have risen.

Following that kingdom, there would be a fourth, strong as iron,
That kingdom would crush previous empires.
It would be divided however as clay and iron cannot mix,
But the kingdom of God would rise in its midst.

The kingdom of God will be as solid as a rock.
No one can crush it, whoever tries will be out of luck.
The dream was true and its meaning was certain.
The kingdom of God would stand forever unending”

My husband finally read my book - Retirement is Fun: A New Chapter

My husband finally read my book "Retirement is Fun : A New Chapter."
He decided to read the book prior to attending a retirement party for one of my relatives.
He commented as follows:
" This is a wonderful account of your Retirement and all the things you have accomplished after leaving your first job.
You have demonstrated that Life does not stop at Retirement.
Life is about the choices you make.
Retirement is really a New Chapter.
You have proven this."

Retirement is Fun : A New Chapter was referred to at that function by one of the speakers.
She said 'Retirement is Fun : A New Chapter is the best book she read on Retirement and that she will recommend it to all.
Incidentally, she was the person who wrote the Foreword to the book.
Here it is :

FOREWORD

Have you thought about your retirement, which will take place sometime in the future?
Many persons dread retirement. Some even look forward to it.
When you read this book, “Retirement is Fun” written by Mrs. Brenda Mohammed you will realize that no matter how you may think of your retirement, when you do retire, it can be a season of great joy and happiness. You will begin to realize too, that when one door closes another even more beautiful door opens for you.
You are truly able to see the beauty of life, and enjoy the beauty of time, time to spend with your children, grandchildren, siblings and to explore new horizons just like the author did.
She was able to face many of life’s challenges too when they did occur because of the beauty of the unlimited time and unconditional love of her family.
So all readers, my advice to you is to keep working while you are young and look forward to those glorious days of retirement ahead of you.
Read this book and see the wonders of retirement experienced first-hand by the author who at first was devastated by her sudden retirement in her still youthful days.
She learned through her many experiences that retirement is a time to enjoy life.
The author has undoubtedly proved that when she retired from her first job, she did not retire from life.

SYNOPSIS

Just how long will a vampire wait for revenge?

Buy Dawn of the New Breed to find out in the prequel to the best-selling vampire series.

The full-length prequel to Murderous Little Darlings (A Tale of Vampires #1).

England, 1472. A teenage Mariana Claremont is having a secret liaison with England’s premier soldier and commander of the King’s army.

Unhappy with their union, separatists amongst the Kingdom set in motion a plan that will change England and Scotland forever.

Several centuries later, three vulnerable children catch the eye of a bloodthirsty yet lonely vampire. Will they escape the clutches of the vampire or usher in a new dawn of the undead?

MY REVIEW
n Dawn of the New Breed Author John Hennessy has sought to provide the background of Mariana Claremont, the Head Vampire in his Tale of Vampires Series.
Mariana was someone who had her young life, her unborn baby, and her lover, stolen from her five hundred years before when England and Scotland were frequently at war. At age seventeen Mariana and Francis Weston, a General in the King’s court fell in love. Weston planned to marry her, but fate had other plans for them.
Mariana's life changed forever when she was attacked by a demon. She disliked her new state at first, but survival was her greatest instinct.
Part II of the Book introduces us to Marcus, Rocco, and Juliana - the stars of Murderous Little Darlings.
To prevent spoilers, I will say no more.
For those of you who love vampire stories and have been following the Vampire series, you will not want to miss Dawn of The New Breed.

The Scarry Inn by Shirley Mc Cann is a spooky story.

SYNOPSIS

Convinced they are the victims of a sick practical joke, Heidi Bowman, and her three friends are resigned to spending the night at The Scarry Inn, even though the atmosphere is anything but welcoming. Surely the owners, Dick and Thelma are simply trying to drum up business for their new motel by terrifying their guests.

But when Kara is found brutally murdered, they realize the danger is real and they must find their way to safety before the secrets of the inn claim another victim. Making things even more difficult is the lack of cellphone service in the small town of Frighton, Arizona. With no clue as to who they can trust, the remaining threesome are now caught up in a fight for their lives.

MY REVIEW

Scarry Inn was gripping and super-thrilling and deserving of five stars and more.
It was filled with fear, deception, misconception, and murder.
This talented author knows how to keep you glued to your seat and keep you turning the pages.
Car trouble forces four young adults to take shelter in Scarry Inn in Frighton, Arizona.
What followed afterward was sheer terror for those teenagers.
The names of the Inn and the town can instill fear in the minds of anyone.
Scarry Inn and Frighton were brilliant choices for names of the Inn and town.
I expected something scary and scary it was indeed.
It was filled with suspense from beginning to end.
I could not put down the book until I read it all.
Shirley Mc Cann is another great writer I have only just discovered.
Her ability to describe and plot scenes with numerous twists and turns is incredible.
It is a spooky story.

MY REVIEW - FIVE STARS

My 5 star Review.

A Coronation of Kings’ was well-written and held my interest throughout its 365 pages.
The remarkable story is about twin brothers of Marcus and Elaina Listar, who were separated at birth.
After the Wolf kills Marcus, Tristan goes through a great deal of trouble to secure his father’s amulet from his dead body.
The Listarii Mansion was burnt to the ground and the Wolf’s attackers thought that Tristan had died in the fire.
Planning to lay low and start a new life in a different city, an urchin mugs Tristan and steals the amulet.
Tristan follows the urchin into the sewer pits to retrieve the amulet and two guards accost him.
From there on his life takes a new turn.
He was made Leader of the Guild of Thieves, an underground group in Belnair.
Meanwhile in Tolanis, Syrion his twin brother learned that he has magical powers.
His mother revealed the details of his birth and her reasons for fleeing with him from Listarii faking her death.
The two brothers are united eventually and the ending is brilliant in this action-packed novel.
Author Samuel Stokes’ writing style will mesmerize you.
He is a young new writer who knows how to keep you turning page after page.
I enjoyed the book.

REVIEWS

Review by Readers Favorite:

Retirement is Fun: A New Chapter by Brenda Mohammed is an interesting memoir where the author shares with readers her moments after retirement and how it is a time when everyone should sit back and enjoy life. After reading this book, no one will dread retirement. They will all look forward to it and use that time to enjoy the beauty of life, spend more time with the family, and experience their unconditional love. Retiring from the job does not mean one retires from life because one gets time to appreciate the beauty of unlimited time and use it effectively by doing things they missed out on doing while they were working
.
The book is uplifting as it makes everyone who is going to retire look forward to it. The author's experiences and adventures after retirement give readers ideas on how to handle their lives in a good and happy way after retiring from their jobs. Brenda Mohammed shows by example how one's attitude can make a difference to everything and life can be enjoyed at any age, irrespective of whether you are young or not.
The memoir is simple and chronicles the author's life and events, taking readers into her space. The memoir is a good read; readers can connect well with what the author says and the events and experiences in her life, and the way she handles life is tangible. The words of wisdom from Dr Murdoch quoted at the end of the book are very inspirational and will help readers look at life in a positive way. An interesting book for all those who are going to retire from their jobs and want to know how to handle life after that.

Comment by a British Writer Margaret Lossl shared on LinkedIn

"We all face challenges. I have found that 'what doesn't kill you will make you stronger' to be true. I have recently met an inspirational writer Brenda Mohammed and in her book 'Retirement is Fun: A New Chapter' (Amazon) she reveals her triumph over hazardous challenges. Her positive outlook and faith carry her through the difficult phase between her high-profile job in a bank and retirement, but it is in these halcyon days of retirement, that life really throws her a curved ball. No matter what you are going through, make it count and enable growth. You are not alone.

J.B. Richards's review Nov 16, 2016
it was amazing
Read from November 13 to 14, 2016

'A Time to Read: A Beautiful and Soulful Tale about Trust and Belief in the Lord!
Having herself experienced a lifetime of tragedy and joy, Author Brenda Mohammed assumes the mantle of theologian/philosopher in her quest to understand and explain the elegance and meaning found in the biblical verses extolled in Ecclesiastes 3.
In "Your TIME is NOW: A Time to be Born and a Time to Die", Mohammed fully examines each memorable and precious verse and applies them to her own life experiences.
In doing so, she takes the reader on a journey through a lifetime filled with trials and tribulations, despair and hope, loss and success.
The author eloquently defines Ecclesiastes 3, pointing out that, by freely accepting God's will, she has been amply blessed with a faithful family, loyal mentors, good friends, and a full life.
She successfully leaves her readers with a message of hope and inspiration by sharing her belief that, through introspection and prayer, one may find meaning within the events of their own everyday experiences.
She appears to be a firm proponent to the old adage, "When days seem at their darkest, surrendering and trusting in the divine will ensure peace and prosperity".
All in all, I found this book to be quite engaging.
The author's reflections on her childhood were beyond charming in some spots, yet brought me to tears in others.
Her candidness about her relationships with parents, siblings, husband, and her own children reminded me so much of my own family's saga, and I must admit that I was thrilled to find a read that tugged at my heartstrings the way this book did! For any individual seeking solace and meaning in today's hectic world.
"Your TIME is NOW: A Time to be Born and a Time to Die" is a beautiful and soulful read. Thank you, Brenda Mohammed, for sharing your journey with me!'

Thank you, Author JB Richards

My Review of the year 2016

On looking back at the year 2016, I have realized that I never achieved my original goals. However, things turned out much better for me.
I had expected to give up writing and continue to travel the world. My husband and I had planned to join my sister and her husband in their annual travels.
London, Scotland, and Amsterdam were the intended destinations. My husband fell ill, and plans were cancelled. My sister, her husband, and family travelled to those places as scheduled and I was disappointed.
I did not sit at home idly, however. I revised some of my books, changed the covers, and published them on other platforms like Nook, Kobo, Apple, Page Foundry, Scribd, 24 Symbols, and Tolino.
I even won an award from Metamorph Publishing for my memoir, 'A Life as a Banker" A Life worth Living.' It was voted second in the Category Bio/Memoirs in the Metamorph Publishing Summer Indie Book Awards 2016.
Two other books were nominated by my fans for those awards.
They are 'Retirement is Fun: A new Chapter, and 'Revenge of Zeeka: Horror Trilogy."

In early January I had suddenly got an idea after reading the daily newspapers and proceeded to write a new Series.

I wrote the following:
Revenge of Zeeka: Zeeka and the Zombies published February 2016.
Revenge of Zeeka: Zeeka’s Child published in March 2016.
Revenge of Zeeka: Zeeka Returns published in April 2016.

I never expected them to be such a success, but the reviews were very good.
I combined those three books into one – Revenge of Zeeka: Horror Trilogy and sent it to Readers Favorite International for a free review.
To my surprise, the book received a five-star review and a five- star seal on September 10th 2016.

Here is the review

“In Revenge of Zeeka by Brenda Mohammed, the island of Gosh is under attack by an army of zombies under the command of a vengeful science genius. In the year 2016, the Zika virus broke out in Central and South America with life-threatening effects for pregnant women. Given a choice to save the mothers or the unborn babies, a decision was made to save the mothers. The tiny stillborns were securely and secretly buried.
Only a few people knew of this. Unknown to everyone, however, a certain scientist managed to get hold of all 51 bodies, bring them back to life, and condition them to follow his command, creating himself a perfect army of zombies. Now, twenty years later, the evil scientist seeks revenge on those he holds responsible for the stillbirths. Only three of the current doctors at Central Hospital - Raynor, Mark, and George - witnessed the unfortunate events of 2016. The three have strong suspicions about who might be controlling the zombies. Meanwhile, Zeeka is lying in wait for the perfect time to unleash his army onto the island. Zeeka has big, evil plans and this is just the beginning. In a desperate search for answers, and with very little to go on, the doctors search for the elusive Master Zeeka.
Will they save the islanders from Zeeka and his zombies, or will it be too late?

Revenge of Zeeka, by Brenda Mohammed, is a one of a kind novella trilogy that delivers an incredible story guaranteed to give readers an absolute sci-fi treat. I especially liked how Brenda used current events as the pivotal point from which to build this amazing sci-fi horror. This made the story even more relatable.
More importantly, however, I admired how she owned her story and created this captivating version of events. She captured with amazing depth the setting, characters, plot, and emotions in such few words. If you are looking for a thrilling short read, this fast-paced, sci-fi action novella will give you the time of your life.”

This review gave me encouragement to finish writing the fourth book in the series ‘Zeeka’s Ghost’. I had started it in June 2016 but was unable to finish it. I eventually completed it and released it on 9th October 2016.

ZEEKA'S GHOST has also been receiving favorable reviews.
My husband's health improved and we visited my daughter and her family in Miami in July 2016, and spent a wonderful week with them in Orlando at the fabulous Reunion Resort.
I did not achieve my original goals for 2016, but it turned out to be an incredible year so far. It was indeed a productive and successful year.

Who is Zeeka's Child is the burning question

ZEEKA'S CHILD: REVENGE OF ZEEKA BOOK 2

Five Star Review By Katerina Sestakova Novotna

5.0 out of 5.0 stars

This is an interesting science fiction story about zombies who were created with the help of modern science. They differ from traditional zombies in many aspects. They are controlled by their mysterious master Zeeka through sophisticated technology. Many of them do not even eat human flesh, but that trait alone does not make them harmless.
The core of this book in the series focuses on a relatively fresh couple, Janet and Raynor. Janet finds out she is pregnant with the man she had been engaged to before Raynor. He is not just an ordinary ex, but someone whom they both see as a mad scientist. Yet the child in her womb is not the only reminder of her past. There is also a necklace her former lover gave to Janet, which contains more secrets than it seems at first glance. It’s a fascinating tale of kidnap, arson and a lot of other action. There are many shocking twists, but the main one revolves around the question who Zeeka’s child is.
The second book answers many questions the first book left us with, but it also poses many new questions. That’s why i am already looking forward to reading the third book.
I read this book in one sitting since it’s difficult to put down once one starts to read it. The story itself is quite complex for such a short book. There are not many authors who can say so much without wasting a single word. Brenda Mohammed excels in this respect.

New Release Zeeka's Ghost : Book 4 of Revenge of Zeeka gained two five-star reviews

NEW RELEASE

Zeeka’s Ghost by Brenda Mohammed is now available on Amazon, Nook, Kobo, Apple, Page Foundry, Scribd, Tolino, and 24 Symbols.
Cover Art is by the talented Sharon Brownlie.

Zeeka’s Ghost is the fourth book in the Revenge of Zeeka Series. While the book works as a standalone, readers who have not read the first three stories would not want to miss the action and suspense of the entire story.

BACKGROUND OF STORY

1. Revenge of Zeeka: Zeeka and the Zombies [Book 1] – Book Description:

Original and based on current events.

This book is the first in a science fiction thriller series about futuristic zombies and their Master Zeeka, set in the year 2036.
It is original and based on current events.
Twenty years before, in 2016, the zika virus epidemic raged over the small scenic island of Gosh off the coast of South America.
Zika infected hundreds of pregnant women, and they produced stillborn babies at the end of their term.
Twenty years later, in the year 2036, at the island's national Carnival celebrations a band parading as sailors wreaked havoc on spectators, killing and maiming several of them.
Who was responsible for this violent act and how will this all end?
If you love zombie thrillers, futuristic zombies at that, with a mix of love and romance, do not miss this action-packed read, which is PermaFree at all your favorite bookstores.

2. Revenge of Zeeka: Zeeka’s Child [Book 2] – Book Description:

Kidnapping, Arson, and killer zombies.

The second in the series of the science fiction novella "Revenge of Zeeka," evolves into a more complicated plot.
Detectives Jack Wildy and Jerry Cole have to deal with kidnapping, threatened suicide, and arson. They also uncover major corruption in the Police Force, and a few 'skeletons' jump out of the closet.
In a shocking turn of events, Zeeka is revealed.
Who is the mystery Master Zeeka, and who is Zeeka's child?

3. Revenge of Zeeka: Zeeka Returns [Book 3] – Book Description:

Killer zombies, Robots, High tech weapons

Zeeka Returns is the exciting conclusion to this horror trilogy about futuristic zombies and their Master Zeeka set in the year 2036.
Zeeka, involved in the most heinous of crimes is apprehended, not by the police, who for weeks were in the forested area searching for him and his nine flesh-eating zombies, but by a beautiful woman.
Zeeka abandons his zombies, runs from the police in the forest, gun in hand, and was trapped by a woman.
Who is this heroic woman?
What high tech methods were used to kill zombies in 2036?
What is Zeeka's fate?

4. Zeeka's Ghost: Book 4 - Book Description:

Swift. Silent. Ghostly

Zeeka’s Ghost appears to Steven and he feels the ghost has evil intentions.
Coupled with that, Steven discovers that he and Mandy are the targets of unknown enemies and their lives are at stake.
Stephen must find a way to hunt down and apprehend these ruthless maniacs and save his beloved wife.
Is Zeeka’s Ghost here to harm or help?

FIRST REVIEW FOR ZEEKA'S GHOST on GOODREADS

John Hennessy rated it 5.0 out of 5.0 stars

Zeeka's Ghost
It was amazing

Zeeka's back. As if you could keep a good zombie down But he's more than the mad scientist/zombie fascinated persona of the earlier books, and in this fourth installment, the ghost of a demon haunts our eponymous hero Steven into near madness.

The thought that he hadn't quite seen off Zeeka haunts him, until the ghost of the title becomes more than just pangs of regret in his mind. The story centres more around Steven so returns to the original concept bore out in book one. This rounding of the story arc is interesting and a good way to handle it.

The other characters are there too, but they play a secondary role in Zeeka's Ghost.

Probably the best of the Zeeka stories to date, author Brenda Mohammed is to be congratulated on another take of zombies and now ghosts!

I think anyone could read this as the horror elements are PG-13 / Cert 12 rated. But more mature readers will pick up on regrets we have as we age and experience life.

A final word must go to the cover - it's excellent and captures the essence of the book brilliantly.

Second Review:

Extending from her Zeeka and the Zombies trilogy is Mohammed's most nostalgic offering, Zeeka's Ghost. Zeeka is back but not at all how you expect. Unresolved issues, regrets and love are all splendidly woven together with the right mix of startling plot twists the author is masterful at. Fans of the series will not be disappointed and new fans will be caught up to speed in no time. Another thrilling read!

This collection consists of five stories narrated in the first person by Squeaky Doo, a teddy bear owned by a little girl named Marge. Marge lives with her younger brother and parents in Miami. However, except for the first story which takes place on a beach in Miami, all the other stories are set in different locations. The tales describe adventures in Los Angeles, Orlando, on a cruise trip, and in the author's native island, Trinidad. Squeaky Doo accompanies Marge as her family, including her grandparents, vacation in these different places. He gets lost in each story and, fortunately for him, is always rescued and reunited with Marge.

Squeaky Doo is an observant bear who never misses any detail of the family's activities. He gives vivid descriptions of a warm and loving family of which he is proud to be a part. Children will surely fall in love with this likable teddy bear and will want to read about all of his adventures. The perspective of the teddy bear makes the stories easy to read and will encourage youngsters of all ages to keep reading to find out what will happen next to Squeaky Doo.
