Would you like to sit in a comfortable chair with a cup of hot, tasty tea and enjoy reading? Well, Tea Time Poetry, the 42nd book written by Mrs. Brenda Mohammed, is just the Book for you. 

This book contains a wide variety of interesting, enticing and delightful poems. These Poems are easy to read and each one holds one’s interest. Mrs. Brenda Mohammed has written these poems that come from her heart, exhibiting all her emotions-mentally and spiritually. Apart from interest and excitement generated, there is also great advice given. In the Poem Truth she says and I quote,

“Truth is the foundation of a good character.

Lies and falsehoods only bring disaster.

Honesty has always been the best policy.

Living a life of truth is the best legacy.”

Then there is the poem on Rumours where one is encouraged not to spread false rumors as:

“Rumours create uneasiness in a person’s life.

Spreading false rumors can create strife.”

In Tea Time Poetry the Author has also focused on Gogyohka Poetry- a verse written in five lines commonly found in Western Poetry, e.g.

“Betrayal is harsh.

May not be intentional.

Never comes from enemies.

But jealous friends.

Who stab you in the back.”

She has also included some Tanka, a Japanese form of poetry that uses no punctuation marks.

“Love is Endearing

True love is encouraging

Love is forgiving

Love is a light in your path

Without love we are nothing”

“A sign from heaven

God remembers his promise

A message from God to us

He is watching over us

He loves all people of world”

The Poet has also shared some of her favorite quotes which are so inspirational e.g.

1). “It is difficult to stay silent when you are the subject of lies. However, staying silent can burn their consciences.”

2). “Give generously and it will return to you in multiple forms.”

3).  “Believe and trust in God.”

All the poems and the Quotes in Teatime Poetry surely give much food for thought. Just by reading and thinking about the variety of poems and Quotes may change one’s life.
