December heralds the Christmas festivities,
With social gatherings and Christmas parties.
Cleaning, painting, buying new appliances,
Christmas trees, lights, and new decorations.

Shopping and preparations begin very early.
Wrapping presents for friends and family.
It is a season for hope, peace, love, and prosperity.
A time for giving to the poor and needy.
*
Decorated Shopping Malls look outstanding,
The sound of Christmas carols resounding,
Santa arrives in his sleigh to excite the young,
And bring happiness to children all around.
*
We tend to forget the reason for Christmas,
Is the birthday of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus.
It is said he was born on Christmas day.
People worldwide celebrate this joyous day.
*
Regardless of creed, colour, race, or religion.
Experience the spirit of Christmas in unison.
Let East meet West and join hands to share,
A Merry Christmas to all far and near.

My Life as a Banker combines both History and Geography


In 'My Life as a Banker' the author combines both History and Geography with her positive outlook to bring her story to life.


The Memoir is the story of a woman's determination to succeed in a profession that did not always favor women.


Set on the lovely Caribbean island of Trinidad. MY LIFE AS A BANKER: A LIFE WORTH LIVING is a fascinating personal memoir written by Brenda Mohammed, a former bank manager.


The book starts with the author’s early life and childhood, leading up to her first job which was banking.

Brenda Mohammad describes how manual work was transformed into computerization, her working at different branches, and her working relationship with her colleagues.


Her farewell party from her fellow workers describes how popular she was during her stay with them.


It was interesting to note, as a tradition, the groom used to write a letter to the bride's father to seek permission to marry his daughter.
This is what happened when her husband proposed to her.


The description of her marriage is so beautiful and emotional.
Brenda had extensive travelling in the United States and Europe;
I enjoyed her visits to Germany and Holland the most.


Close knitting in her family and how her parents and her siblings took care of each other is worth reading;


It was touching to read how her father talked to all of his children separately before his death.


Brenda's belief in God is remarkable.”

I read these five books in the Revenge of Zeeka Series and I was indeed thrilled.
These stories are indeed mind-blowing and I would love to see them as a TV Series.
Set in the year 2036 these science-fiction reads are very unusual, and unlike any zombie stories, I have read.
They are filled with morals and life lessons and are great reading for the young generation of today.
I am a fan of the author and I am proud to have these books, which I bought from her home store in my library.
I recommend them to everyone.

MIAMI BOOK FAIR

 

In 2018, when I won two medals from Readers' Favorite International, for I AM CANCER FREE and ZEEKA CHRONICLES, I had the opportunity to participate in the Miami Book Fair.

I wrote this Poem about it.

THE MIAMI BOOK FAIR
The Miami Book Fair 2018 was a festival of literary arts.
Over 300 renowned authors arranged to take part.
In an exhibition of valuable literature collection,
In individual pavilions in a weeklong celebration.
Millions of books in multiple languages could be found
With book signings and musical entertainment all around.
Thousands of book lovers flocked to downtown Miami,
For the event hosted in Miami Dade County.
Award winning books were displayed in a booth
By the Readers Favorite International group.
My books among others were sold to worldwide charities.
A great way for us authors to give back to the communities.
It was quite an occasion for authors to meet book sellers,
Major publishing houses, and foreign publishers.
In this International Festival of Authors and activity,
Promoting reading and awareness of literacy.
Many authors gave away books for free.
They were not concerned with collecting money.
Getting great book reviews is more fun.
And prove to be valuable in the long run.
