BIOGRAPHY OF BRENDA MOHAMMED 2025

Brenda Mohammed, from Trinidad and Tobago, is a former Bank Manager who has published 64 books in multiple genres. They are available in Kindle, Paperback, and Audiobook. Among her publications are 19 poetry books of enlightening poems. Brenda’s genres include memoirs, science fiction, romance, self-help, mystery thrillers, children’s books, psychological thrillers, Christian books, poetry, poetry anthologies, and magazines.

Brenda’s Memoir, MY LIFE AS A BANKER: A LIFE WORTH LIVING, was the winner of Best Bio/Memoir, 2nd place in Metamorph Publishing Summer Indie Book Awards 2016.

In 2018, she won two awards at the Readers’ Favorite International Awards. One was for her memoir, I AM CANCER FREE, for Health and Fitness, and the other for ZEEKA CHRONICLES: REVENGE OF ZEEKA in the category of Young Adult Thriller. It was a double win.

That same year, Brenda captured awards from the Readers’ Favorite International, Author Academy Global Awards, and Readers’ Choice for Zeeka Chronicles. In 2025, she wrote and submitted a screenplay for the sci-fi thriller to movie agents for consideration.

BARRY HOLMES MYSTERIES, a mystery fiction, also won several awards. The book received a five-star review from Readers' Favorite International in September 2021 and won the Culture, Literature, and Research [CLR] Award in India for Best Fantasy. On World Book Day in April 2023, the book received a certificate of recognition from the International Chamber of Writers and Artists [CIESART], Spain. In May 2024, Barry Holmes Mysteries was a Finalist in the Independent Author Awards 2024 hosted by Literary Global Awards.

She loves to share her knowledge and has written three books on How to Write for Success and Self-Publishing tips for new and aspiring authors. How to Write for Success received a five-star review from Readers' Favorite one month after its publication in December 2017. In August 2019, HOW TO WRITE FOR SUCCESS topped all the books in the Non-Fiction category of Connections Emagazine Readers' Choice awards and won the gold medal in the non-fiction category. It also placed second in all categories and won the silver medal.

Brenda's romance novel, 'STORIES PEOPLE LOVE,' was the first-place winner in that contest and won the gold medal for placing first in all categories. Again, it was a double win.

The merits of the book HOW TO WRITE FOR SUCCESS were featured in a review in the Ethiopian Herald Sunday Edition on February 16th, 2020.

Brenda won several literary awards in 50 countries throughout the world, and her poems are published in several international anthologies.

She received several awards from CIESART GLOBAL in 2021 - 2025.

CIESART GLOBAL nominated her for the Mar De Cristal Barcelona Award in Literature in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024.

In 2024, she was honoured with the PLATO AWARD, which highlights the values of Wisdom, Temperance, Courage, Justice, and more, and the Dante Alighieri Award for active cultural management.

In 2025, she received the Insignia Dorado Uno – Golden Badge One and several other awards from CIESART GLOBAL.

She has conducted book signings, hosted Book Fairs in Trinidad and Tobago, and donated books to schools, libraries, and churches in her country.

Some of her achievements were published in the local newspapers in Trinidad and Tobago.

She is an advocate for Peace, Suicide Prevention, and Against Domestic Violence.

She is the Founder of the Facebook Forum, ‘How to Write for Success Literary Network,’ and National President for Trinidad and Tobago for:

1.       International Chamber of Writers and Artists [CIESART] - Spain, and

2.       Unión Hispanomundial de Escritores - Peru.

She is also a Peace Ambassador for the Iqra Foundation of India.

Anyone can read it, but you will be pleasantly surprised just how the author takes on new challenges with gusto. True, she has a large family and strong network of friends egging her on, but this is her tale, and how retirement is anything but a door closing.

It is a new opening, a new chapter, and it is fun to read as well as have some very poignant moments in it. A great companion to her other memoirs, but it stands well on its own. Far from being something to fear, the author teaches the reader to really go for it in life. Nicely done.

In 'My Life as a Banker, ' the author combines both History and Geography with her positive outlook to bring her story to life.

The Memoir is the story of a woman's determination to succeed in a profession that did not always favor women.

Set on the lovely Caribbean island of Trinidad. MY LIFE AS A BANKER: A LIFE WORTH LIVING is a fascinating personal memoir written by Brenda Mohammed, a former bank manager.

The book starts with the author’s early life and childhood, leading up to her first job, which was in banking.

Having defied death twice at the ages of eight and nine, she excels and graduates from High School at the tender age of sixteen and lands a job with an International bank with ties to the United Kingdom.

Dealing with customers and money issues can be stressful, but Brenda proved that hard work and determination pay.

It was interesting to note, as a tradition, the groom used to write a letter to the bride's father to seek permission to marry his daughter.

This is what happened when her husband proposed to her.

The description of her marriage is so beautiful and emotional.

Brenda had extensive travelling in the United States and Europe;

I enjoyed her visits to Germany and the Netherlands the most.

Close-knit in her family, and how her parents and her siblings took care of each other, is worth reading.

It was touching to read how her father talked to all of his children separately before his death.
