Best Books I have read in 2018

My Review
Paradise Boundby Rafaele Desire is an amazing story of a young woman doctor torn between three lovers - a pilot, an artist, and an actor.
It was a difficult choice for her.
This book held my interest throughout because I have been to many of the places the author wrote about.
I visited Paris, Los Angeles, New York, the Eiffel Tower, Empire State Building, Hollywood, and sat on Malibu Beach, etc.
I also live on a small Caribbean island.
This book written by Author Rafaele Desire brought back so many memories.
The author’s vivid descriptions of the places Natalie lived and frequented kept me reading, and turning the pages.
This is a new author waiting to be discovered.
I loved this story and recommend it to all.
About the Author
Born in Paris to a French literature teacher and a physician, Rafaele Desire was raised in the French Caribbean island of Martinique. An artistic child who loved reading above all, she chose science over literature when she moved back to France to become an orthodontist, and soon afterward, a trip to the United States radically changed her life. She studied fine arts at Otis/Parsons, film production at NYU, and tried her hand at acting and graphic design. Rafaele Desire is a painter, writer, Tai Chi instructor, and she practices orthodontics in Los Angeles where she lives with her two amazing daughters. Paradise Bound is her first novel.

Review
A Love Relentless by Ju Ephraime is a fascinating account of a love affair in Alaska.
ByBrenchrison March 7, 2018
Format: Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I am happy that I came across A LOVE RELENTLESS written by Author Ju Ephraim.
I always wondered about life in Alaska and this book taught me all about that.
This was a fascinating and intriguing account of two lovers.
Liz left her village and learned to live independently after a failed arranged marriage.
She returned after a few years to decide if she should accept her deceased Aunt Edna’s gift of the expansive homestead.
Rohan was looking to purchase the property.
Their coincidental meeting because of Liz’s inheritance from her Aunt Edna brought them together in spite of Liz’s attempts to resist him.
The author related the story in a way that kept me turning the pages.
I could not put it down.
I loved it and recommend to all lovers of romance novels.

Ju Ephraime writes steamy high heat romances, packed with emotions and strong alpha characters and always a wonderful, happy ever after. She has won several awards for her writing and had even seconded in Amazon Breakthrough Novel Contest, with her White Magic Woman. When not writing romance novels, Ju could be found writing children’s books, which includes her, Too-Clever series, a collection of ten children stories. Ju writes her children's stories under, Dr. Julia E. Antoine. These days she stays busy helping in the community and donating her services to a not-for-profit organization, which she helped establish. She still misses her time on the sunny Caribbean islands but takes pleasure in using them as backdrops to some of her stories.

Review
A Long and Winding Road is an amazing story of love and bravery.
It is a story of the love for one's parents when they can no longer care for themselves.
It is also a story of bravery by two loving people who proceed on a seven-week trip on a forty foot motorhome taking along their ailing parents.
Of course, there were problems and chaos, but none bigger than the love shared by those four people.
The author did a beautiful portrayal of the trip and added some much-needed humour.
The book was never boring.
I recommend it to all.
